ENGINEERING SERVICES Bison Energy Partners (BEP) provides engineering services including: · Drilling, Completion, & Workover Engineering · Drilling, Completion, & Workover Operations Management (Office and Field) · Critical Drill String Design · Deep Water Landing String Design · Failure Analysis/Forensic Evaluation Drilling, Completion, & Workover Engineering Bison can provide complete drilling, completion, and workover well programs. These can include detailed well procedures, pore pressure calculations, tubular designs, cement, bit, mud, and logging recommendations. With this information, BEP can assist the operator in selecting the drilling contractors, equipment vendors and service providers. Bison’s office engineering staff will monitor progress of the job to insure efficient, cost-effective completion of the work. Bison has the knowledge gained from years of combined field and office experience to help you make the most cost-effective decisions for your operations. Bison Energy will design completion procedures to optimize production recovery utilizing state-of-the-art completion and stimulation techniques. Bison is experienced in evaluating and designing completion equipment, perforating and stimulation methods, and facility design for domestic and international locations. In addition, the company is experienced in designing workover procedures to address any maintenance problem that could cause an interruption in well productivity. Drilling, Completion, & Workover Operation Bison personnel will coordinate product requirements, including bidding, transferring, inspecting and testing. Design specifications will be prepared and quotations and/or vendor bids will be obtained and analyzed before recommending the purchase of materials, equipment and services. Once approved, Bison Energy inspects and checks equipment and services against design specifications. At each phase, we keep accurate records of the activity, including deliveries and returns. If preferred, Bison Energy can perform in-office consultation, coming to your business to analyze and advise you from studies of your information or job site. Bison can also assign an engineer to work in your office in any capacity from Operations or Project Manager to Staff Engineer. Critical Drill String Analysis We have designed some of the most critical drill strings in the world. We can balance and optimize drill strings for tension, torsion, and hydraulics. Our clients have included deep water operations for BP, ExxonMobil, Anadarko, and ChevronTexaco. We can design drill strings for a single well or evaluate a multi-well project. Designs can include rental strings, purchased strings, manufacturing specifications, inspection requirements, and quality assurance recommendations. Deep Water Landing String Design Many deep water casing string loads exceed the tensile capacity of the strongest standard-weight drill pipe. We can determine the necessary landing string to safely handle your job and can also evaluate each component (casing running tools, cementing heads, crossovers…) in the load path to determine its ability to handle the maximum expected load. Forensics / Failure Analysis We can perform an analysis to determine the root cause of a failed component. We will develop a specific prevention plan for your specific failure mode (fatigue, tension, torsion, burst or collapse) to prevent reoccurence. Once the root cause is determined we can: Make equipment recommendations to prevent reccurrences Write operating procedures to prevent reccurrences Monitor rig practice to ensure correct operational procedures are being followed Write inspection procedures to detect flaws before they become down hole failures Monitor inspection practices.
